Emotional Leakage
Statement: Occasionally we may spring an emotional leak. It is okay when it happens in private but becomes complicated when in public. Feelings of shame, weakness, ridicule, and criticism might accompany these moments but it is important to understand that the expression is not a sign of weakness or failure but a sign of emotional health. Our culture, and consequently we, place a lot of pressure on ourselves to appear strong and confident when, in fact, what makes us beautifully human is our moments of sensitivity.
Eye of the Beholder
Statement: Beauty doesn't exist on its own, but is created by observation through our senses. https://www.facebook.com/events/621992561300764/
On The Inside Looking Out
Statement: There are times when we have to step away from our thoughts and retreat to a quiet place where we are able to observe them objectively. There we can reflect on self, a stranger on the outside looking in. Upon further contemplation, we will find self on the inside looking out. Fears from the past can be dealt with, and fears for the future are merely false evidence appearing real, but what we do with the present is what matters most.
