Emotional Leakage
Statement: Occasionally we may spring an emotional leak. It is okay when it happens in private but becomes complicated when in public. Feelings of shame, weakness, ridicule, and criticism might accompany these moments but it is important to understand that the expression is not a sign of weakness or failure but a sign of emotional health. Our culture, and consequently we, place a lot of pressure on ourselves to appear strong and confident when, in fact, what makes us beautifully human is our moments of sensitivity.
Inside the Mind
Statement: From a scientific point of view, it is necessary to remind ourselves that all knowledge of our environment has entered in the form of messages, transmitted along the nerves to the seat of consciousness. This said, it must be understood that consciousness is not sharply defined, but fades into sub-consciousness and beyond that we must postulate something indefinite, but yet continuous with our mental nature.
Killing Field
Statement: Change is taking place; this is the difference between what is seen on the surface & what is hidden in the ground. We cannot kill the inevitable cycle of life and death. "Killing Field" formed part of my first solo exhibition, Metamorphosis, 17-30 July 2013, in Statuto13 Gallery, Milan. https://www.facebook.com/events/1514425708871455/?ref=newsfeed
