Artistic Work – No Labels #322

This artistic work is a portrait of a woman. She graciously allowed me to photograph her in her natural environment at home. The energy between us was spontaneous and creative. During this documentation, I realised that I was in the company of someone with immense talent and beauty. At this particular juncture, she picked up a string of fairy lights and began to move to the rhythm of the music playing in the background.

I decided that the best name for this series would be No Labels and deliberately omitted titles, using only the number of the photograph. Because despite progress in some countries, people with mental health conditions often experience severe human rights violations, discrimination, and stigma. 

There are instances when individuals are marked with disgrace because they are not able to cope mentally with everyday life. It is seen as a sign of weakness.

My prayer for you, dear friend, is that your plans for good are birthed in fertile soil and that they multiply before your eyes to benefit many.
