The energy between us was spontaneous and creative, and I realised that I was in the company of someone with immense talent. At this particular juncture, she picked up a string of fairy lights and began to move to the rhythm of the music playing in the background.

Pay No Heed To Skeptics
Statement: "When you start something new, you always get some negative responses from your peers telling you it's nonsense... And I think, in some instances, it's quite good not to listen too carefully," said Prof Harald zur Hausen, Nobel Prize Laureate. Description: I named this limited edition print 'Pay No Heed To Skeptics' because just like Mr. Eiffel ignored his skeptics, we should ignore ours and follow our hearts' true calling.

The Cold Can’t Hurt Me Now
Statement: Spring means different things to different people. To me, it means that soon leaves and blossoms will be blooming after a long winter slumber. It is the time of year when we are gently reminded that all good things come to those who wait. Description: I named this limited edition print 'The Cold Can't Hurt Me Now' because the colours remind me of Spring. When I was a child, winter was such a miserable time of year for me, and I remember the excitement I felt as the windy August month was coming to an end and warmer days were on the horizon.

The Dash
I read of a man who stood to speak at a funeral of a friend. He referred to the dates on the tombstone from the beginning…to the end. He noted that first came the date of birth and spoke of the following date with tears but said what mattered most of all was the dash between those years. For that dash represents all the time they spent alive on earth and now only those who loved them know what that little line is worth. For it matters not, how much we own, the cars…the house…the cash. What matters is how we lived and loved and how we spend our dash. So, think about this long and hard; are there things you’d like to change? For you never know how much time is left that still can be rearranged. To be less quick to anger and show appreciation more and love the people in our lives like we’ve never loved before. If we treat each other with respect and more often wear a smile…remembering that this special dash might only last a little while. So, when your eulogy is being read, with your life’s actions to rehash, would you be proud of the things they say about how you lived your dash? Linda Ellis Description: I was on a Woodstock Graffiti tour in Cape Town with a group of fellow photographers. Having not been to the Woodstock Exchange before, I took a little gander when a storefront window caught my eye. It was closed, so I took the opportunity to shoot to my heart's content. One can get quite self-conscious when photographing something. Have you ever watched a photographer bounce around a subject trying to get the perfect angle? The inspiration for this modern art piece was born right there. I named this One-Off art piece 'The Dash' because the minimalistic line reminds me of a poem by Linda Ellis. The Simplicity of Being
Statement: To cultivate a life of clarity and contentment we need to acknowledge that we are free and responsible agents, determining our own development through acts of our will. One single moment of self-actualisation can change your life forever. This process requires honesty, independence, awareness, objectivity, creativity, and originality. Description: This artistic creation was taken around the fifth day of my pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, Spain, in June 2018. I chose to name the image 'The Simplicity of Being' because it reminds me of the TV series "Little House on the Prairie." Reminiscent of a time when life was simpler and our days were made-up of frolic and fun without worrying about the real world.

Description: Photograph through a pinhole of jellyfish, taken at the Two Oceans Aquarium, Cape Town, 2019. Jellyfish symbolise strength, acceptance, softness, transparency, drifting, and simplicity.
